Beverage Cart Attendant

Overview: This position promptly provides food and beverage service to guests utilizing the outside golf courses during play.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service welcoming golfers encountered and assisting golfers with any questions/concerns.
- Follow all policies, procedures, ABC laws and service standards.
- Drive food and beverage cart around designated areas and sell (upsell) food and beverage to guests.
- Provide service to guests to include explaining products and specials, securing payment and other needs as required.
- Maximize sale by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
- Ensure established standards of beverage service are met.
- Offer and serve alcoholic beverages while adhering to Serve Safe and TIPS training alcohol awareness.
- Maintain cleanliness of work space and beverage vehicle according to standards.
- Properly operate beverage vehicle in accordance with state and local laws in order to deliver goods.
- Ensure cart is clean, orderly and accurately maintain stock and inventory record.
- Responsible for collecting accurate payment from the guest and perform accurate cash handling of sales.
- Perform inventory and accounting of stock and daily receipts, input daily transactions into point of sale system.
- Provide accurate information about our restaurants/resort to include hours of operation, menu selection, dress code, etc.
- Communicate effectively with other team members in order to ensure accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests and maintain day-to-day operations of the department.
- Maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within others view.
- Maintains appearance and uniform standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Knowledge of resort, outlets, amenities.
- Computer experience and knowledge of ordering procedures.
- Possess knowledge of basic food sanitation.
- Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required within 30 days of hire
- Food Hander Card required within 30 days of hire
- Knowledge of food, wine, liquor, beer.
- Knowledge of golf and golf course etiquette.
- Must be able to stand/sit/walk for approximately 8 hours, lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds, work outdoors with exposure to various types of weather including sun exposure and heat for up to 8 hour shift
- Must possess valid drivers’ license.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends holidays.
