Driving Range Attendant

Williamsburg, Virginia, United States

OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for guest and customer service that includes but is not limited to picking, cleaning, stocking of golf balls for daily business requirements. This position directly reports to the professional staff.

Responsibilities:

Provides exceptional guest service
Follows policies, procedures and service standards
Opens and closes the range
Picks range using equipment and washes golf balls ensuring adequate supply is available at the range during assigned shift
Maintains facility cleanliness
Performs equipment preventative maintenance
Cleans customer and rental clubs when requested
Assists the professional staff with tournament set-up
Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Ability to be courteous to members and guests of the property providing exceptional customer service with the ability to develop relationships
Ability to operate a golf cart, four-wheel drive Jeep, and driving range picker
Ability to operate a golf ball washer
Possess valid Driver’s License
Must be at least 18 years of age
Possess the ability to have a professional presentation
Must have the ability to communicate with guests and respond to questions about the course in a friendly manner possessing a knowledge of golf
Possess the physical stamina to perform the duties of the job to include the ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 90 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, reach, bend at waist and perform repetitive hand, wrist and foot action, and withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc.) as well as prolonged exposure to sunlight for 8 hour shift.
